Managed Methods has announced the availability of their
flagship SOA management product JaxView as a soft appliance. JaxView has
several different deployment options including XML/Firewall, Agentless, Agent
stub and ESB integration. JaxView is offered as an appliance in all of its
deployment options. JaxView is an
agentless SOA runtime governance solution that is available both in software
and soft appliance form.
Visibility and Control (governance) over an SOA environment are paramount to the success of any SOA initiative; however, many times it is pushed down the priority stack because of its cost of deployment. This cost normally appears in hours spent during installation and testing of the governance tool.
This soft appliance will be deployed using the flexible options in JaxView that include:
- Agentless with a network analyzer to enforce SLA policies
- Gateway for enforcement of policies such as XML Firewall policies and Light ESB policies such as routing and throttling of messages
- With agents for platforms such as J2EE and .NET
- Integration with ESBs and other JMS-enabled message brokers
The appliance is available in hardware format where Managed Methods installs and configures JaxView on a server platform of your choice specifically designed for the load in your environment. The server is then shipped to you or can be downloaded to be installed on any VMWare Player, VMWare Server, or VMWare ESX.
